Hyderabad: TS-TRANSCO is the Electricity Transmission organization of the Government of Telangana state in India. It has stopped to power exchanging and has held with forces of controlling framework operations of Power Transmission.
Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited has been joined under organizations Act, 2013, on 19 May 2014 and started its operations from 2 June 2014.
The past Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board which appeared in 1959 was in charge of Generation,Transmission and Distribution of Electricity.Under Electricity Sector Reforms agenda,Government of Andhra Pradesh proclaimed Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reforms Act,1998.The recent APSEB was unbundled into one Generating Company (APGENCO), One Transmission Company(APTRANSCO) and Four Distribution Companies (APDISCOMs) as a change's component process.
APTRANSCO appeared on 1.02.1999.From Feb 1999 to June 2005 APTRANSCO stayed as Single purchaser in the state-Purchasing force from different Generators and offering it to DISCOMs as per the terms and states of the individual PPAs at Bulk Supply Tariff(BST) rates. Subsequently,in understanding with the Third Transfer Scheme told by GOAP,APTRANSCO stopped to power exchanging and has held forces of controlling framework operations of Power Transmission
According to AP Reorganization Act 2014, APTRANSCO was partitioned into TSTRANSCO and APTRANSCO. Likewise TSTRANSCO was built up as a Company w.e.f 2-6-2014 for the State of Telangana.
